Day 242: Siem Reap to Singapore — Flight #60 of the Year — Treetops Executive Residences
We woke on yet another rainy travel day. But there have been showers on and off for most of our time here in Siem Reap.
I wasn’t feeling great and went downhill after breakfast. It’s been on and off stomach issues for me and Margaret for the last couple months. Today’s issues were made worse by a mini-hangover from last night’s 10-year anniversary dinner at Amansara.
I walked down the street to pickup our laundry. And then we just hung out in the room, packing up while the kids played.
We didn’t leave the room like this…

Margaret and the kids had a final lunch while I hung out upstairs.

We really enjoyed our 6 nights at Heritage Suites. When you spend that much time at a small hotel you really get to know the staff — especially during the low season. Everyone was so nice. They were lining up for pictures with Willa and James before we got in the van to head to the airport.
The airport experience was super fast and easy — we went through check-in, security and passport control without any lines.

But the flight itself — our 60th on the year — was very turbulent.
Margaret was terrified — maybe PTSD after the few huge bumps on the way to Cambodia? She was literally shaking and only calmed down after downing a beer.
We landed safely and took a taxi to the Treetops Executive Residences, our home in Singapore for the next week.
There was a little basket of cereal and fruit in our suite which we served to the kids for dinner.
I was still feeling crummy and exhausted, couldn’t wait to get in bed.
