Day 169: Hot Boat Cruise on the Canals and the Amstel River — Dinner at Little Collins in De Pijp

Margaret and I both got workouts in this morning. I went back to the hotel gym and she hit another SoulCycle knockoff called Rocycle.

After breakfast we decided to split up again. James and I returned our bike, then took the tram back into the center of town.

We stopped for some pancakes topped with whipped cream and cherries (breakfast #2!) and did some reading while we waited for our food. He’s reading the Little Critter “My First I Can Read” series.

We then met Margaret, Willa, Nate and Julia for a much anticipated canal cruise.

Rilke the boat captain set us up with snacks and drinks. He was a little anxious and excited but super nice and informative.

It was a really warm afternoon. When we weren’t in the shade or catching a breeze it was pretty steamy. Willa took a snooze and as expected, James bonded with Rilke.

After the cruise we showered up, had a drink at Hoppe then Ubered over to Little Collins in the De Pijp neighborhood for dinner.

Sweaty but fun day!
