Day 156: Corsica with No Plans— School, Pool and a Windy Day at the Beach — New Horse Friends
Willa and James were asleep before Joanna and Dave arrived last night so they greeted them when huge hugs when they saw them for the first time this morning. So nice to see. They’ve been reeeeally excited for their arrival.
Margaret hit the boulangerie for croissants and some beach umbrellas.
It was a glorious morning. We had breakfast outside on the deck, happy to be with friends in this lovely place with zero plans for the day.
We knocked out a couple hours of school while Joanna and Dave relaxed by the pool. Then we joined them.
Margaret made a delicious salade nicoise for lunch.

We then walked down to the beach. We said hello to our horse neighbors on the way.
It was super windy and got a little cloudy so we only stayed for about an hour.
It’s so nice to be a 7 min walk from the sand because we just made the quick trip back to the house and spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool and feeding the horses.
We put the kids to bed, fired up the charcoal grill (braai!) and had a fun grownup dinner back out on the deck.
