Day 142: Mijas Villa with the Voorhees Crew — Peuns Arrive!

It was a slow and sunny morning here on the Costa del Sol.

Everyone rolled out of bed between 8am and 10am and grazed on breakfast throughout the morning. Everyone was relaxed and happy to be with family at this lovely house.

Chris, Rachel and Oscar flew in from London and arrived around midday. Oscar lost his breakfast (poor guy) on the windy ride to Mijas but arrived energized and excited to be welcomed by four Big Kids.

The kids had a blast — in and out of the pool, picking oranges, running from the Kids Club to the hammock in the front yard. The grownups caught up on NYC and DC gossip, worked on a puzzle, lounged by the pool, listened to music and napped.

This amazingly the the first time all year I had huge blocks of time to kill. The kids were totally occupied and happy and we had zero plan. I went through old emails and scrolled through the news on my iPad, read my kindle and just chilled. So nice.

Chris and Harlow made a run to the grocery store. Of all the guys I know, there are not two dudes I trust more to crush a grocery + alcohol run and spin it into a great meal (with help from the ladies of course). We had margaritas, salad, chicken and sausage on the grill plus ice cream for dessert.
