Day 141: Voorhees Clan Arrives!

We awoke this am to the exciting sound of the Voorhees family pulling in to our driveway!! They’d survived their overnight flight and were ready for Cousin Time!

Willa gave them the flamenco dresses Lobsy had bought for them in Madrid, and everyone got to work dressing up and…squeezing fresh OJ in the juicer.

Lots of giggling and shrieking — all made the louder by our multi-story, all-tile-interior house.

After lunch all Voorhees family members except for Crosby took naps — Croz ended up plowing through on zero sleep until 8 pm local time!

I took one too because I finally got hit hard with the cold. Slept four hours!

The rest of the day was spent having a total blast swimming and playing in the yard. They even decided to turn the garden gazebo into a “Kids Club,” and made a sign, had a password, etc. So dorky and cute.

Also got in some good laundry…

Aunt Claire and Uncle Harlow went into town to grab some food for dinner — they made burgers and salad.

There was some progress on the puzzle as well.

We all crashed by about 10, so excited for the rest of the week ahead.
