Day 53: Traveling to Sao Paulo — Seeing Our Boat Buddy Laura
This morning we hit the breakfast buffet at Tivoli for the last time, and rode back by car to the Salvador airport. We flew to São Paulo, landing in the rain and creeeeping through traffic into the city.

We arrived at at the super comfy Tivoli hotel around 7pm and Margaret and the kids immediately headed out for pizza at Braz with Laura, our new friend from the river cruise who also happened to sling a live piranah into Margaret’s lap.
I went to the sceney bar / restaurant on the top floor to meet my b-school friend, Jan, a German entrepreneur living in Brazil and building an English language learning business.

Jan didn’t arrive until around 9pm so I had about an hour for a solo drink + bite + Jack Reacher on my kindle. I love my family but that didn’t suck.
